Best Places To Live Podcast
Montgomery County, TN is an amazing place to consider when looking for affordability, diversity, education, and outdoor activities. With a quick commute to Nashville, you can be in the Music City within 45 minutes. Sitting on the TN/KY boarder, Clarksville is an attractive place to live for personnel assigned to Fort Campbell too.
With a population just over 200,000, Clarksville has seen an increase of roughly 4,500 new residents in the past year. Industry leaders such as Fort Campbell, KY, Tennova Healthcare, Hankook Tire, Google, and LG offer many job opportunities and stability for the economy. Nestled in the Historic Downtown since 1927, Austin Peay State University is home to just over 10,000 students.
Keep an eye out for the new multi purpose event center under construction in Downtown Clarksville that is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2022. “The project is a 23,200 square meter multi-purpose event venue accommodating Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s and women’s basketball programs, ice hockey, concerts and other civic and entertainment functions. The main arena will accommodate more than 5,000 seats, and includes suites and concessions areas. The venue will have two sheets of ice for hockey with supporting locker rooms, an APSU practice court, and APSU locker rooms and meeting rooms.” (Skanska)
