DIY Farmhouse Blanket Ladder UNDER $20!
Welcome back to another DIY Saturday project!
Except in Clarksville, because the rain ruined our plans for Saturday. So we’re going to make an exception and make this a DIY Sunday, just this once! ;)
Today we are making this SUPER adorable and insanely easy farmhouse blanket ladder! This is perfect for the little corner I have in my living room! You can even add some decor to it, like I did with the candle!
Let’s get started!
The supplies you’ll need for this project is:
One 2x4 cut in half (Both 4 Feet Long)
One 2x4 cut into FOUR 14 Inch pieces
1 3/4 Wood Screws (I purchased 12 just in case, but you only REALLY need 8.)
Wood Stain of your choice
Wood Stain Brush
I purchased all of these items at Home Depot, but you can find them at almost any home improvement store.
The first thing you need to do is stain the wood! I’d reccommend sanding the wood first to create a smoother surface to work on, but that’s optional.
Now you can start staining! I choose an ebony stain so I did 4-5 coats before I was satisfied with the color. That is completely up to you!
Next, you’ll need to assemble your pieces. There is not real measurements to this, I just spaced it how I thought looked best, and prepared to drill everything down.
Your last step is to use the wood screws and drive them into the 2x4’s. Drill one to each side of your 14 inches pieces, and your masterpiece is finished!
VOILA! You have yourself your very own farmhouse blanket ladder! If you try this DIY out, we wanna see it! Post it using #kaylapiersonteam so we can share the love!
